Band Repair and woodwind teacher
Henry does all our brass and woodwind repairs. Anything from a simple cleaning to taking out dents. He has been playing Woodwind Instruments since 1960; his instrument of choice is the Saxophone – specifically the Baritone Saxophone. He played in the orchestra at the Schubert Theater in Los Angeles, California for five (5) years; during this time he frequently doubled on various instruments including the Bassoon, Oboe, Contra Bass Clarinet, Contra Alto Clarinet, English Horn, and Bass Saxophone. He also participated in a Summer Musical Theater group performing Broadway productions. Owned and operated his own music store for 10 years in West Covina, California. Sales and Repairs of major band instruments for several very large school districts. Since moving to Brownwood, Texas, he has been involved with the Community Concert Band, the Community Big Band and the Brownwood Reunion Celebration since their conception. He has also been repairing band instruments for over thirty (30) years and has been working for Brownwood Music since 1995.
Henry has many talents besides music; his vocation background is in Quality Management; Quality Engineering; Worked in Aerospace; Petrochemical; Nuclear; Coal Gasification; Manned Space Flight; Space Exploration; Steel Industry-Foundry and Manufacturing; Entertainment-Musical Theater, Performance-Big Band, Orchestra, Jazz Dance Band.
