Ryan Blanton
Trombone instructor


Ryan Blanton is a college graduate from University of Texas of Arlington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Composition. Ryan has played the trombone for 15 years. Although the majority of his musical career has been concert and jazz band, he’s also sang in school choirs, barbershop quartets, and locally produced musicals by the Lyric Theater. A few of his awards include Early’s John Philip Sousa Award and UTA’s Lloyd Carr Taliaferro Memorial Scholarship for best original composition of 2016; as well as, being founder and president of UTA’s Society of Composers, Inc. Chapter. He may have focused on classical and jazz studies, but he enjoys any music that moves and inspires. His passion help others find their music within by focusing on the specific needs and wants of his students to meet their individual goals.
